History
Chronicle 4: Scions of Destiny (C4). NA launch 8 February 2006. Fate’s Whisper sends chosen adventurers after Mimir’s Elixir and Giant inheritance; Noblesse status and Grand Olympiad folklore (the black knight and blonde noblewoman) frame a Chaotic Era where destiny is earned in the arena as much as in dungeons.
Why it mattered
Brought subclass / Noblesse fantasy and Olympiad prestige into the official story frame — the “scions” who inherit Giant power and compete for Hero recognition.
Lore beats
- Fate’s Whisper: courageous few learn the secret of Mimir’s Elixir and claim ancient Giant inheritance
- The Chaotic Era hardens: free will without divine cover forces adventurers to band together or prey on each other
- Grand Olympiad origin folklore credits a black knight and blonde noblewoman with gathering the Noblesse
- Heroes and scions become the living answer to a world the gods no longer shepherd directly
